Crushed Rock & Gravel
For over 40 years, Best Buy Garden Supply has been your source for crushed rock and gravel in Portland. Whether you are from Portland, Beaverton, Aloha, Cedar Hills, Hillsboro, or Rock Creek—Best Buy in Town has everything you need to complete any yard or garden project requiring crushed rock or gravel.
Our gravels and crushed stone are all premium quality and are affordably priced.
The uses of our crushed rock, crushed stone, and gravel are plentiful and often vary based on the specific gravel or crushed stone that you are considering.
BBIT’s gravel and crushed stone come in a couple of different types—clean crushed and screened or minus (which contains dust and small fragments to aid in compacting). Our crushed rock is available in basic grey/brown as well as decorative and colorful crushed stone.
Our compact-able minus gravel comes in two sizes:
- 3/4” Minus
- 1/4” Minus
If you are putting in a porch, patio, pathway, walkway, sidewalk, driveway, gravel road, gravel street, or even a retaining wall, either our 3/4” Minus Gravel or 1/4” Minus Gravel will work perfectly as a base gravel. These gravels work superbly because they compact so smoothly (thanks to the natural minus that comes mixed in with the crushed rock). Compressing tightly, our 3/4” Minus and 1/4” Minus thoroughly interlock for a firm base for just about any foundation. *Note: Although they both serve the same purposes, some landscapers prefer to use the 1/4” Minus Gravel because it compacts a little more tightly than the larger 3/4” Minus.
Our Grey Crushed Stone comes in four different sizes:
- 1/4”-10 Clean Crushed Rock (a.k.a. quarter ten crushed rock)
- 1/2”-1/4” Clean Crushed Rock
- 3/4”-1/4” Clean Crushed Rock
- 3/4”-1.5” Clean Crushed Rock
Our clean crushed rock is best utilized for decorative pathways, walkways, or as a base rock for patios. It generally will not compact nearly as effectively as one of our Minus Gravel options, as it tends to lay loosely. However, our clean crushed rock will drain more readily than the ¾” minus or the ¼” minus crushed rocks.
